Winter Enrichment Course

COURSE DATE:

December 11, 2022 – January 21, 2023

The flipped classroom is a pedagogical approach where direct instruction takes place outside of the classroom in the individual learning space. Group learning becomes a creative and dynamic application of concepts where students work together and the instructor guides learning.

While flipping the classroom has been successfully employed for at least 10 years, it continues to be successful because:

  • it helps busy students,
  • it increases student-teacher and student-student interaction,
  • and it helps students engage in higher cognitive levels of learning.

Practical Solutions of Faculty: Flipping Your Classroom is a 6-hour course that helps educators who are either considering a flipped classroom or looking to refine an existing flipped classroom with practical techniques for course design, delivery, and assessment. This Magna Online Course features a collection of programs from teaching experts that will help guide you through the fundamentals of flipping your classroom.

Practical Solutions for Faculty: Flipping Your Classroom focuses on the foundations of flipping: Course Design, Course Delivery, and Assessment. Each area contains short programs that cover highly important questions and topics related to successfully flipping your classroom. No matter if you are considering flipping your classroom or looking to refine an existing one, you’ll get practical techniques for course design, delivery, and assessment.
