Q. Where is the conference being held?

A. The conference is located at the host hotel, which can be found by clicking the Hotel & Travel tab.


Q. Where will next year’s conference be and when?

A. We announce the dates and locations for the next annual Teaching Professor Conference during the current conference (May or June)


Q. When can I submit a proposal to present at the conference?

A. We generally open the call for proposals to those interested in presenting at the conference in August of the year prior to the conference. The call for proposals is open for submissions until October. After the call for proposals has been closed, no new submissions will be accepted.


Q. Do you offer scholarships or financial assistance to attend this conference?

A. At this time, we do not offer scholarships or financial assistance to attend the Teaching Professor Conference. If at any point this changes we will provide information and instructions on our conference website.


Q. I can only attend one day of the conference. How much would it cost to attend for only one day?

A. The cost to attend for a single day is one half the Standard Rate


Q. How many people attend this conference?

A. In the past several years, we have had more than 1,000 attendees at this conference.


Q. Who should attend this conference?

A. This conference is non-discipline specific. We welcome faculty from all levels and departments to participate.


Q. Does the cost of the conference include accommodation and travel?

A. The cost of the conference does not include accommodation and travel.


Q. We want to attend, but we don’t know the name(s) of the individual(s) attending. Can we still register early to get the reduced rate?

A. Yes, you can register early at the reduced rate. Contact Customer Service to make changes to your order when you have decided who from your institution will be attending.


Q. What is the dress code for the conference?

A. The dress code for The Teaching Professor Conference is business casual. Past experience has taught us that meeting rooms tend to be on the cool side, so we recommend that you bring a sweater or light jacket. 


Q. What time does registration open at the conference?

A. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. on Friday for preconference attendees. Registration opens to all participants beginning at 8:30 a.m.


Q. What time does the conference end?

A. The conference is scheduled to end at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.


Q. Where can I find an updated conference schedule?

A. The daily schedule is posted on this website. A detailed schedule, including all sessions, will be available closer to the conference.


Q. Will there be wireless internet access?

A. Wireless internet is complimentary in your guest room and in all meeting rooms. 


Q. Are meals included in the registration fee?

A. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served after the opening reception on Friday. Breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday will be provided. All dinners are on your own.


Q. Can I bring a guest to the conference sponsored meals?

A. Conference meals are only for registered attendees of the conference.
