Dr. Patrick E. Turner is a nationally recognized student success and equity strategist who currently serves as the Associate Provost for Student Success and Innovation at Clark Atlanta University. With more than 20 years of progressive leadership in higher education, Dr. Turner has led transformative initiatives to improve retention, persistence, and post-graduation outcomes, particularly for first-year, first-generation, and historically marginalized student populations. At Clark Atlanta University, Dr. Turner provides strategic leadership for student success initiatives, including proactive advising, academic coaching, tutoring, mentorship, and career development integration. Nationally, Dr. Turner serves as a mentor for the Predominantly Black Community Colleges (PBCC) Leadership Collective through Complete College America (CCA) and as a Fellow in the Mellon Leadership Mentoring Initiative with the American Association of Blacks in Higher Education (AABHE). He is also a frequent keynote speaker, national presenter, and expert panelist on equity, digital literacy, and men of color initiatives. His leadership and service extend to boards and journals such as the Journal of the First-Year Experience and Students in Transition and the Association for Undergraduate Education at Research Universities (UERU).
