Magna was started 30 years ago in owner Bill Haight’s basement.
Not far out of college himself, Bill realized there were lots of newsworthy things going on at college campuses outside the classroom and he started the National On Campus Report, a monthly newsletter. Creating a new forum for campuses to share non-academic ideas, Bill found himself stuffing envelopes and hand-applying address labels.
From those humble beginnings grew Magna Publications, which today serves the higher education market with academic and student affairs based professional development in print, online, and through in-person conferences.
Still based in Madison, Wisconsin, Magna Publications sells its products world-wide.
