Jennifer H. Waldeck is the professor and department head for Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication (ALEC) at University of Georgia. Previously, she served as an associate dean for academic programming and faculty affairs for the School of Communication at Chapman University. She specializes in instructional and organizational communication research. Her work has appeared in such journals as Communication Monographs; The Journal of Applied Communication Research; Communication Research Reports; Learning, Media, and Technology; Journal of Education for Business; and The Journal of Business Communication. Waldeck is the author or co-author of several books, including Communication Competence: Goals and Contexts (Bridgepoint Publishing). Her newest book, Strategic Communication for Organizations (with Sara LaBelle) will be published by University of California Press in 2018.
Waldeck holds a PhD in communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara, an MA in speech communication from the California State University-Long Beach, and a BS from Ohio University.
