Bruce Kelley
Bruce Kelley is the founding director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of South Dakota and professor of Music in the College of Fine Arts. He also serves as USD's accreditation liaison officer for the Higher Learning Commission. His research has been centered on music of the American Civil War, music theory pedagogy, models of course design, organizational theory, and change management. He is the author of two books and numerous publications, including the highly acclaimed Preparing Your Campus for Veterans Success: An Integrated Approach to Facilitating the Transition and Persistence of our Military Students (Stylus, 2013).
Kelley earned his MA and PhD in music theory from The Ohio State University and BM in trombone performance from Nebraska Wesleyan University, and received a certificate from the Harvard Graduate School of Educations Management Development program.
