Steven Meyers
Steven Meyers is professor and associate chair in the Department of Psychology at Roosevelt University, where he directs the undergraduate programs in Psychology. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching selected him as the 2007 Illinois Professor of the Year. He has led conferences and workshops on classroom conflict, civic engagement, service learning, embracing diversity in the classroom, and peer coaching.
Meyerss publications and presentations have examined issues such as classroom conflict, collaborative learning in the teaching of psychology, teaching assistant development, and incorporating social justice into college teaching. These works have appeared in journals such as Teaching of Psychology, College Teaching, and the Journal of Faculty Development.
He earned his PhD in clinical psychology from Michigan State University.
