Jennifer Waldeck
Jennifer H. Waldeck is a professor and acting dean in the School of Communication at Chapman University. She specializes in instructional and organizational communication research. Her work has appeared in such journals as Communication Monographs; The Journal of Applied Communication Research; Communication Research Reports; Learning, Media, and Technology; Journal of Education for Business; and The Journal of Business Communication. At Chapman, she is the Institute for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Ambassador for the School of Communication. Waldeck has served as training and curriculum design consultant to numerous organizations from small entrepreneurial start-ups to global Fortune 500 companies. On campus, she has served as chair of the Faculty Personnel Committee and member of the Faculty Senate Executive Board.
Waldeck is the author or co-author of several books, including Communication Competence: Goals and Contexts (Bridgepoint Publishing). Her newest book, Strategic Communication for Organizations (with Sara LaBelle) will be published by University of California Press in 2018.
Waldeck holds a PhD in communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara, an MA in speech communication from the California State University-Long Beach, and a BS from ohio University.
