Jill Purdy

Jill Purdy, EdD is an associate professor at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. She also serves as the chair of Education Department and director of Graduate Program. Purdy teaches both undergraduate and graduate level courses on reading and ESL instruction, technology, and community partnerships. She has presented at several Teaching Professor and Teaching with Technology Conferences on online course design and student engagement. Other research interests include diversity education and literacy pedagogy. Purdy provides professional development for local school districts. Prior to working in higher education, she taught 8th grade reading, English, and social studies for over 15 years.
