Campus Access License
Erik Christensen is the dean of applied sciences and technologies at South Florida State College. He holds engineering degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has taught physics, astronomy, and astrobiology at South Florida State College. Christensen was an ISKME OER Fellow in 2012 and named a Textbook Hero by Rice Universitys OpenStax. Each year, Christensen has saved his students over $50,000 in textbook costs by adopting OER. In 2016, Christensen led an initiative to institutionalize OER at his college which was formally recognized as a Florida College System Best Practice.
