Dina Leland works under the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) as a disability specialist at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas specializing in health sciences. Throughout her 32-year career, she has specialized in diversified education working with students who have learning differences. She has spent time working under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) in K-8 education. She worked as a teacher mentor in the California Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) Induction. Leland is the current president of the Nevada Association on Higher Education and Disability (NV-AHEAD).
