Ching-Yu Huang, PhD, an assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), has taught a variety of biology courses since 2008. She specializes in teaching technology, active learning, peer-instruction, and inclusive teaching. She currently serves as a provost’s faculty fellow at VCU’s Center of Teaching and Learning Excellence. She has developed and hosted teaching development workshops that promote effective teaching and student engagement, i.e., active learning, teaching with technology, scientific teaching and inclusive teaching.
