Brenda L. McKee Del Moral, PhD, is an associate professor of biology and neuroscience at Edgewood College. Since 2011, Moral (she/her) has taught blended online courses that focus on active learning and engaging students by utilizing a flipped classroom approach, which are founded in backwards and universal design. For these efforts, she received the James R. Underkofler Excellence in Teaching award and the Universal Design for Learning award in 2014. Moral presents her findings on effective teaching strategies annually at the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society conference and other teaching conferences.
